Business Workshop

BWIS hosted two informative business workshops in Johannesburg and Durban. Our business workshops were facilitated by International guest Mr Mathieu Sacrispeyre, a business expert and CEO of Anovra. In celebration of National Women’s Month, sharing on the female scientists perspective were Ms Bathabile Mpofu, social entrepreneur and founder of Nkazimulo Applied Sciences and, Ms Nokwazi Mzobe from Matoyana, author of “The Small Business Handbook”.

Women and Girls’ in Science Day

BWIS International hosted a “Meet the Speakers” event at the Young African Scientists in Europe  (YASE) 2018 meeting held in Toulouse, France on the 6 July 2018. This meeting preceded the ESOF (European Science Open Forum) 2018 held in the same city of Toulouse from the 8-14 July 2018, read more.

Intra-Africa Mobility and Gender

BWIS was invited to the present at the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme Cluster Meeting by the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium. The topic of conversation was “The Gender Aspect in Mobility”, with focus on the challenges affecting female  versus male students travelling abroad.
